The Discrimination toward Gender Diverse  

We stand on the stage to share our research about gender diversity with the people in the audience. We talk about how touched we were when we watched Nymphia Wind show Taiwan culture on the stage. We also talk about how close these issues are to our lives when Dr. Hsu shares personal stories from work.

Dr. Hsu also asks us to think about how our parents might react if they find that our inside gender is different from our outside gender. After we finish our survey, we are surprised by the results. One third of the students think their parents would be mad and shout at them. One third think they have no idea how their parents would react. The last one third think their parents would support them no matter what.

We feel surprised because we think we are now in a modern era. It is shocking for us to know that one third of the parents might be mad and yell at their children. This finding also gives us more courage to do our presentation and share ideas about gender diversity with our whole school.
